In this post, I will talk about one touristic place found in Turkey the Bolu Gölcük Tabiat Parkı. The Bolu Gölcük Tabiat Parkı is one of Turkey's protected natural parks with its beautiful sceneries and activities offered to its visitors.

About Bolu Gölcük Tabiat Parkı

Bolu Gölcük Tabiat Parkı which is visited by an average of 500 thousand people every year is one of the most important touristic centers of Bolu. It is an artificial lake 13 kilometers south of Bolu city center, the height of the lake is 1217 meters and spreads around  4.5 hectares. The view of the lake, which is surrounded by pine, fir, beech, hornbeam, and mixed tree species, is magnificent in all seasons. 

Right on the edge of the lake, which is covered with the extraordinary beauty of nature, there is a beautiful building called "Devlet Konukevi ". Around the lake, there is a restaurant, country restaurant, cafeteria, buffet, prayer room, and bungalow-type accommodation facilities. The lake and its surroundings have been taken under protection by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry as a "Nature Park" and it is not allowed to enter by car to Bolu Gölcük Tabiat Parkı.

Bolu Gölcük Nature Park is an area frequently visited by both locals and foreigners, being close to Bolu city center and the different natural and recreational areas found in it all of which allow people to have a good time. 

What can you do in Bolu Gölcük Tabiat Parkı?

In  Bolu Gölcük Tabiat Parkı you can do the following activities: hiking, cycling, picnic, sports, etc. It includes extremely suitable areas for these kinds of activities. The road around the lake is closed to vehicle traffic and is used as a walking and cycling path. Many picnic tables with pergolas are available to the visitors. In addition to the picnic tables, pergolas, children's playgrounds, volleyball courts you can also find a mosque.

Bolu Gölcük Tabiat Parkı is very popular in terms of angling. The wooden piers on and around the shore of the pond are ideal places for fishing and watching the unique scenery offered by the park.

How to go to Bolu Gölcük Tabiat Parkı?

Gölcük Nature Park, which is 13 kilometers south of Bolu, can be reached by private vehicles, as well as by city transportation vehicles and Seben and Kıbrıscık county minibusses departing from Bolu city center.

Departure from Bolu at 11:00 on weekdays, return from Gölcük at 17:00. On weekends and public holidays, departure from Bolu at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 15:30, from Gölcük at 15.00, 17:00.
